CRAN
CRAN theatre company has been inspiring people in Govan through professional theatre work since the 1990's. Unemployed people, young people who have lost their way, those who are vulnerable or disadvantaged have found new directions and aspirations through working with professional actors and theatre practitioners.
During 2009, CRAN has partnered Fablevision in the development of Transform TV. The first cohort of students were guided by Frank Miller, the artistic director of Cran in their projects and filmed their own Govan Ghost Story. As well as research and heritage work for Wildworks and the National Theatre of Scotland on behalf of Fablevision , Cran also delivered the Fablevision performance from SPARR for the Heritage Lottery 15th Anniversary.
SAT
SAT Making Things Happen is an award winning cultural social enterprise initiated by one of Firstports' first awardees, Shaun Ashley Townsend. SAT aims to engage and reach out to people (particularly young people) through multi art form explorations, events and celebrations.
Shaun Ashley Townsend collaborated with Fablevsion during 2009 on Sparr and on the development of both Transform TV and the Business Support Unit.
Norman Douglas Associates
Internationally renowned dancer and choreographer Norman Douglas has established an education and training company – Norman Douglas Associates – creating transformation in individuals and communities. Norman reaches the hardest to reach and, with his unique, robust and non-threatening approaches, inspires even the most sceptical of young men. Norman collaborated with Fablevision during 2009 on Sparr and on the development of the next stages of our work in Govan
East End Endeavour
EAST END ENDEAVOUR is a sail training yacht which has been delivering countless sailing experiences for young people and adults since the early 1980s. Now co-owned and managed by Dr. Peter Aitchison and Sam Paterson (former eee trainee), she is set to have new generations onboard. EEE has a proud and unique history, having been fitted first in Dalmarnock around 1979 as part of the Youth Opportunities Programme and providing coastal sailing to many, many people. Appreciation of the natural environment, learning and understanding about our natural heritage and culture as well as a healthy respect for the elements are all included in the package in partnership with Geronimo Sailing, who will deliver sailing and RYA courses aboard the Yacht to Project Scotland Volunteers. Geronimo Sailing School is the only RYA approved school in Scotland able to offer Sailing, and Motorcruising Practical courses as well as all theory courses from their teaching base at Clyde Marina, Ardrossan.

quality and the development of opportunities for young people within the
creative industries - using film making and broadcast media training as a

During 2009 SWAMP collaborated with the Fablevision group on the 21st
anniversary celebration for Hawthorn Housing Co-operative on SPARR and on the development of the pilot for
Transform TV
SKS
SKS - a new social enterprise offering business development services to the social enterprise sector. SKS is headed up by Shona Sinclair whose commitment is to offering flexible working opportunities to skilled business facilitators who are living with long-term conditions. During 2009, SKS supported the development of Fablevision's Business Support Unit, business plans and enterprise funding bids.
