Learning and Training

Dissemination of Practice

Fablevision accepts commissions to create learning events about cultural planning across Scotland and internationally. As a founder member of the Banlieues d'Europe Network, a partner in the QecEran network and convenor of the National Cultural Forum, Fablevision shares findings and working practices with European Partners. Training, learning, and dissemination events are usually created alongside a project to ensure there are opportunities for everyone to learn about the emerging results and to benefit from the impacts of a real, live project.

In Scotland, dissemination of practice is channelled through our work with and on behalf of the National Cultural Planning Forum; through seminars on cultural planning in partnership with the Scottish urban Regeneration Forum; through masterclasses in partnership with the University of Strathclyde; through a steady flow of students on the cultural planning course who are drawn from the majority of Scottish local authority areas; through our participation in the Cultual Pathfinder Programme, through to our training programmes with local authorities here in Scotland and, most recently, in Norwich, England.
