Learning and Training
The Transform Programme
After two decades
of developing the methodology in Scotland and networking with partners
in mainland Europe, Fablevision has confidence with (and expertise in)
the underpinning theories and practices of cultural planning. We are now
committed to sharing the cultural planning methodology throughout Scotland
and across all secors. With our academic partners, we are developing a
learning programme accessible to all levels from higher/further educatioin
to schools, community and voluntary participants.
Our Gold Standard training course is a year long distance learning H.E. level programme of two taught modules in the theory and practice of Cultural Planning. Delivered on behalf of the National Cultural Planning Forum with funding from the European Social Fund and the Scottish Government, the course attracts public, private and third sector employees and voluntary board members from every local authority area in Scotland. With 30 students per annum, each developing their own discrete project underpinned by cultural planning methodology, the course has been developed with support from a range of partners from academia (Universities of Strathclyde, De Montford, City of London, Leeds), Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Education, the Scottish Centre for Regeneration, Youthlink Scotland, Edinburgh's Capital City Partnership and others.
Learning
All of our projects have bespoke learning programmes attached to them, allowing the communities of people, steering groups and agencies to follow and monitor the process of each creative project. This ensures cross-sectoral involvement and the future sustainability of the project.
Training
Our Training projects allow anyone interested in our methodoloy to find out how it could be applied to their area of work. We run annual introductory courses in cultural planning across Scotland and also create bespoke course for individuals, organisations and communities.
