Alien 8

An innovative approach to anti social behaviour through creative projects in partnership with the community.

Anti-social behaviour is one of the biggest problems facing most people in Britain today. The new project from Fablevision aims to bring together the perceived 'victims' of anti social behaviour with the 'perpetrators', in order to develop empathy and respect for each others point of view. The project covers all age groups, with Alien8 for young people, and explores the difference between crime and the fear of crime, the latter of which is the most insidious in disadvantaged communities.

My Place

An innovative approach to transforming the heart of communities in partnership with creative projects.
The heart of a community is a vital part of vibrant working communities. Whether it be buildings (schools, places of interest) venues (shops, parks) or objects (local interest) it is crucial that the stories are discovered/rediscovered, retold and remembered by current and future generations.

Wastelands

An pioneering approach to creative projects inspired by derelict and disused land, and developed in partnership with communities
  • Areas of derelict, disused and desolate ‘wasteland’ affect the environments around us. They can be the focus of dumping, violence and crime, anti social behaviour and make the local environment unattractive to be around or live in. However, these places were often previously the centre of many local stories and can be redeveloped into areas that are pleasant to visit and an asset to the local community. It is vital that the stories surrounding these areas are discovered/rediscovered, retold and remembered by current and future generations in order to influence the feel and atmosphere of the entire community.
